No Credit Card No Way Of Getting Out Of Debt!!!

I GAVE YOU ALL A BRIEF HISTORY OF MY LIFE YESTERDAY, FINALLY SAT DOWN AND GOT MY HUSBAND TO TELL ME EVERYTHING HE OWES SO TODAY I HAVE BEEN ASSESSING WHAT WE HAVE AND ALL THE LITTLE LUXURIES WE HAVE IN ORDER TO SELL THEM ON AMAZON/EBAY ETC JUST LIKE ALL THE FORUMS SAY. BUT I CANT GET ANYWHERE AS I DONT HAVE A CREDIT CARD TO SET UP ACCOUNTS I DONT EVEN HAVE A DEBIT CARD(I'M IN A TRUST DEED YOU SEE SO ONLY HAVE A CASH CARD) AM STARTING TO GO CRAZY AGAIN AS I HAVE QUITE A BIT OF STUFF I COULD SELL ............. ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED

WHy not try a car boot before the stop for winter? Then its a start for Christmas.

Does your hubby have a debit card? I think there is a way to get set up, but it can take a little longer to get verified, but that gives you more time to gather your stuff together

Thanks For That Will Need To Go Check Out Local Car Boot. No My Husband Doesnt Have Any Cards Either And Probably Wont. I Started This Yesterday As I Was Only 3 Months Away From Clearing My Debt When He Told Me He Had 15 Grand Of Debt So Felt Like I Had Been Knocked Back A Year Or 2. However I Am Determined To Get Debt Free For Once And For All

I can imagine how upsetting this must be for you. As half a couple I can understand why you want to support OH to get out of debt, but it is his debt.

What you do, should be informed by how much help has he given you to clear your debts. If he has thrown himself into helping you then I can understand an expectation that you may do the same for him; if not and you did not know of this when you married he cannot expect you to just take it on now. Your role is advice, support and any assistance you want to give.

You have done a brilliant job in sorting your own finances out and have earned the position of stepping back from carrying the debt repayment responsibility . In the first instance he now needs to be the one who does:

• Sorting out debit cards to enable ebay usage
• Car boot sales
• Overtime
• Second Jobs

Not a hundred per cent sure but I think you can just give your bank details with ebay, may be very wrong but worth checking.

Also get in touch with one of the debt agencies to go over your options. Have you done a SOA yet ? If not get one done and up on the boards for the wonderful MSEer's to look at and see what can be done.
