Travelodge cheap rooms - book from 8/11/07

Travelodge are doing 250,000 rooms for just £19, you can book from tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

What's the deal?

Travelodge is selling 250,000 super saver rooms (both single and double rooms) for £19 each, a big reduction compared the flexible rates of up to £105 it sometimes charged.

The rooms are clean and functional, so great if you're looking to tour the UK over the Christmas hols. MoneySavers are known to take advantage of these room sales on many an occasion, and there's usually extremely good feedback although there are some concerns that it has a deliberate 'overbooking' policy, but most MoneySavers haven't reported this as being an issue.

What do you need to do?

Use Travelodge's room seach to find a hotel and date available. If there aren't any rooms available where you want to stay, take a look at the Cheap Hotels article to get a cut price deal elsewhere.

Are there any conditions?

Yup. The offer's only available online for supersaver rooms that must be booked 21 days in advance of your stay. Rooms at this price are available between 16 Dec and 20 Jan '08, and must be booked before 1 December.

You'll have to pay in advance and the room's not transferable or refundable once you've booked so first think carefully about if you really want the room

Martin

P.S. Thanks to cleverjake for this top spot!

  • They sent me an e-mail this afternoon as an 'advanced notice'. I don't think any details will appear on the website until tomorrow evening, they're just pre-warning that it's going to happen.

Damn, I just booked a room today!

Well, if it turns up cheaper I'll have to cancel and rebook in my wife's name or something.
  • I found their website a little bit tricky.........

And I was booking an 8 night stay, in London City Road hotel.

When I tried all 8 nights in 1 go, they were 49 quid a night, nearly 400 quid.

However, when I looked, one by one at each night, 7 of the 8 were actually available at 29 quid.

So, I booked the first 5 at 29, then 1 at 49, then the last 2 at 29 again.

It all went into the same shopping basket, and came out as 1 reservation.

140 quid off, just for a bit of messing about......

    Quite a hefty saving..........
  • Just booked 6 rooms (family wedding) for a 2 night stay in Feb & we have gotten the £19 room rates on all the rooms, so I don't think that the expiry date can be 20th Jan - massive saving of £372! Thanks for the tip.
  • Thanks so much for this, Cleverjake.

We took the children to London over half term & the Travelodge we used was excellent. We had such a great time that we all wanted to go again. So thanks to this deal, I have just booked 2 nights in 2 family rooms for a total of £76 (!) arriving 22nd December and have saved £200......which we have promptly blown on a pre-christmas treat of tickets to see 'Chicago' (NB very much cheaper to book via a link to 'www.seetickets.com' via the 'Chicago' website than via any of these discount ticket/lastminute.com type websites!).

The Travelodge booking required a bit of juggling about with dates; strange things like if you booked 1 night you paid full price but 2 nights & you got it for £19 per night so just have a bit of play around to get a good deal. Also it is sometimes worth booking 2 nights even if you only stay for one as that is often cheaper than just booking the one night. Honestly just play around. A bit like Steveblower said for his booking. I think it may depend on the price of the room for the first night of your booking or something like that.

Also if you book breakfast on line you get a 10% discount; obviously this is only available where there is their cafe/bar but adults pay £6.75 on line (£7.50 if you book on arrival) & up to 2 children can eat free per adult. As a family with 4 children this makes an excellent deal as the breakfast is an 'all you can eat buffet' of juice, cereals, fruit, breads/toast/muffins, full cooked breakfast, teas/coffees, etc; the food was excellent & it only cost £13.50 for all 6 of us. The children ate so much that we didn't need to buy lunch which saves a fortune when you are out & about in London!

Anyway, thanks alot. We are all really excited about our forthcoming trip!
