Credit clean up - TSB not playing ball

Hello,

I went into a TSB branch on 25th September to complain that they're still reporting a default after my DRO ended and was called back on 5th October to say they've updated their information but TSB credit cards have issues sending to credit reference agencies, so there will be a delay in it actually appearing on my report.
I've checked Noddle and it is still showing as the same default...
I suspect that my recent application for a credit building credit card was rejected (in part) because of this - I'm not naive enough to think this was the only reason, but I'm sure it contributed?!

So...Do I now go to ombudsman with a complaint?

Thanks :)

  • Just to add to this, my report shows:

    LENDER - Tsb Credit Card
    BALANCE - £ 1,500
    UPDATED - 30/09/2018
    STATUS - Default

    Name - Mr X X XXXX
    Address - 1 xx Road, xx, xx, xx00 0xx
    Date of birth xx/xx/xxx
    Account type - Credit Card
    Account number *************1234 5
    Account start date - xx/xx/xxxx
    Opening balance - £800
    Repayment frequency - Monthly
    Date of default - xx/01/2015
    Default balance - £1,500

I *think* the status should show as 'partially settled' or similar?
    Thanks :)

    Hi,

All accounts included in your DRO should now show as either "settled" or "closed".

If they don`t, then written complaints followed up by escalation to the ICO may be necessary.

Your DRO will show in the "public information" section of your credit file for another 5 years after your DRO completes, so any credit application is likely to be rejected until that's removed.

On a cautionary note, I would not be too keen to get into the credit bubble again if i were you.
