Old payday loan debt showing as 'satisfied' still being chased - complicated!

Hi all!
Hoping for some advice.
Old paydayUK debt from 2013 of £937, I basically ignored it and moved away. The debt was sold to PRAC financial in 2014, then sold to BWLegal in Dec 2016. I received a letter from BW legal at my new address in 2017 and began repayments of just £3 a month.
Recently logged onto my credit report at noddle.com and noticed this debt was listed under PRAC financial still and is marked as 'satisfied' on 01/01/2017. I cancelled the £3 direct debit and thought I'd see what happened. Today I got a letter from BW legal threatening further action if I don't pay the balance or set up a payment plan.
I called BW legal and explained that I thought the debt was satisfied. They say that it is only showing as satisfied because it has been sold on, however the debt is not coming up on my credit report at all anymore - I would have thought an 'active' one would have replaced it under BW legal - is that right?
To make matters more complicated I'm currently trying to reclaim some money back from Paydayuk due to irresponsible lending & unfair interest. Sent the debtcamel template back in August.
Should I just reinstate the £3 payment plan for now?

B W Legal don`t always update credit files as they should, and it may be a wise move to re-instate your payments.
One thing i would try first, and only because it will keep them quiet for a good 7/9 months, send a CCA request for a copy of your original credit agreement, who knows, they may not be able to provide it, even if they can, it will take them months to action it, so a good delaying tactic.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
