I wanna re-cover my sofas

I have 2 large sofas that I'd really like to re-cover. They weren't cheap (Tetrad) and I love the style but I need a solution that will be cheaper than replacing them with cheapy new ones!

Has anyone used Plumbs or Lynplan (or their sister company Lifestyle) for loose covers? I think they may be too expensive for what I have in mind.
I have found these covers on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NATURAL-SETTEE-SOFA-CHAIR-SLIP-COVER-100-COTTON-ikea_W0QQitemZ230188086734QQihZ013QQcategoryZ93676QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and have traced a US supplier in more styles/colourways at http://www.homevisions.com/hvprod/page1.asp?pid=293&name=furniture_covers. Can anyone recommend these or anything similar?
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

We just had sofas recovered and it cost a lot more then cheapy new ones! The total cost was £1400 for the 2.
In saying that we've had them over 10 years and they'll still be going strong when the backside has fallen out of any number of the cheap ones!
