There are two comps running daily both can contact you at the same time of the day both have different answers when answering one fm Magic the other Gem is there any way of knowing which one it is that’s calling

Not sure whether you can distinguish between the callers, but I think it's only the Magic one where you have to answer with a specified phrase ("More Music Magic").
With the Gem/other Bauer station comp you have to be able to give the prize amount, but (I hope!) there's no reason why you can't pick up the call and answer "More Music Magic" (guessing they would edit that out before broadcast). That's my take on it FWIW.
Both require you to answer within 5 rings.

Some of them take the first thing you say so if it is anything except the exact phrase you lose.

One-Eye

GEM 106 will call 08:30 - 10:00 - Answer "Ho Ho Jo & Sparky"

MAGIC will call 15:00 - 17:00 - Answer "More Music Magic"

BAUER (RockFM, Hits Radio etc.) will call 15:00 - 16:00 - Answer "More Music Magic" to be safe
.............It's usually Debbie Mac who calls - Make sure you have the prize amount written down


MSE entrants have previously answered just saying "Hello" and one poor soul answered a call from KissFM with the phrase from Magic.

Painkiller

Use different phones for different competitions and attach a post-it to the screen of each phone with the relevant phrase written on it
