To any bar, hotel, restaurant staff on here - do you get paid weekly, monthly, or something else?

Hotel worker in a place with a clocking in and out machine - paid between 28th - 31st (date differs each month) for at least the next 12 months. List of cut off and pay dates was circulated in business update to all staff before I even stepped foot in the place I found as offer letter just said paid monthly and I didn't want to be immediately asking so that was good going so if you get staff news/circulations read them or ask to be sure - pretty confident I've always been paid monthly in a hotel.
It might be different if I was through an agency or casual/zero hours possibly.
Most places seem to do an induction day 1 nowadays, rather then putting you 'straight to work' so that maybe easier to bring up questions then.0 -
