Approximate calculation of CETV for divorce purposes?

I know the only accurate answer will be to contact the scheme providers, but as an interim guide, could anyone please tell me if there is any way to make a best guess as to the CETV of an occupational pension?

Thank you.

If you mean a DB pension then no, there isn't. It's one of the most complicated calculations possible, involving age, service, NRA, GMP, etc etc.

When you contact them to ask, be sure that you say that it's for divorce purposes, not just a CETV.

Normally one CETV in any 12 month period is free of charge, but be aware the scheme can (and probably will) charge for one supplied for divorce purposes - and as Silvertabby has pointed out, you need to tell them that's why you need it.

I thought mine might be around the 30x... turns out it was 17

As other have said, it is pointless guessing.
