Mortgage application with Metro Bank

Has anyone had any recent experience with applying for a mortgage with Metro Bank? How long does it normally take from application to offer?


We have an application with them for the past 2 weeks and nothing much seems to be happening.

Nothing much suggests something has. What's happened so far?

Just asked for additional documents but haven't instructed valuation (it's a remortgage).

Metro instruct valuation only once the case is approved (subject to that valuation).

They are fairly slow, but steady. They usually get there in the end!

Unfortunately their processes mean that if you are asked for more docs or info, it tends to go to the back of the underwriting queue which can hold things up.

However if they are asking for more info or docs, it tends to indicate that they want to get the case approved, they just need some extra help to confirm the case. (No promises though).
