I have coal fire backboiler that heats hotwater removed and replaced with a backboiler stove, any suggestions on price?
I got a quote of circa 4k subject to survey so install and remove old system, seems quite alot as this is already plumbed.

  • Have you asked for a breakdown of that quote?
I'd have thought around £1000 for the stove and approx the same again for the work and that's being generous.

I must get a breakdown, i thought 2-2.5k tops. I saw a reasonable boiler stove with flue etc for 900 ex install .
