It look like the Royal Mint are running an advent this year. I received the following in an email form them:

'Countdown to Christmas
Our 12 days of Christmas advent calendar begins on 1st December, with exciting prizes and giveaways being revealed on our social media channels daily.'

There's a link which goes to this page, but there are no other details at the moment. I won't have time to post it and would be grateful to anyone who could.
