Can i use a 240v without a transformer and instead get a lead to plug direct to mains?

    Buy a small 110v transformer, job done. Ensure it's heavy enough for the load, I'm sure almost any commercial available will be more than up to the job.

    I'd dump the said item, if you return it chances are it'll get targeted by the owner, if it's less than 2 years old, best dump it and move on! :rotfl::rotfl:
