Lay Off Pay?

I want to get my facts right on this as this is due to happen. Probably tomorrow we will get cut down from 5 days to 3 days. My employer did this is the past before I started, the previous time he did this he did not pay staff lay off pay. All they got was the 3 days they worked, the rumour was though that he claimed back the layoff pay from the government.

I've had this happen to me in previous jobs and while this https://www.gov.uk/lay-offs-short-timeworking says we should get full pay for the days short we only got £25 per day or something.

If this happens what exactly should we receive and what should happen if we don't?
