Hi All,

I have a work pension that isn't performing spectacularly and I was wondering if it needs looked at? I know very little about pensions so any help would be great. I know nothing about what the below means:

Fund Name: Growth Fund (Drawdown L/S)

Core ER Contributions - 16.2%
Core ER Contributions TV - 1.47%
Core ER Contributions TV - 60.59
Saver Contributions - 14.49%
ER Matching Contributions - 7.25

These list of percentage are meanless. What is the total amount in pension pot? You should be able to find the fund sheet online.

All that list seems to be telling you is where the contributions that were paid into your pension came from. What the words mean is impossible to say, they will be dependent on your particular pension scheme.
The only info relevent to performance seems to be "Growth Fund" but we dont know what your scheme's Growth Fund is.
You havent said what the performance has been nor what has led you to believe that it isnt performing spectacularly.

You need to supply more information.

We still need to know more about the Growth Fund. Funds are sold by fund managers such as HSBC, BlackRock, Aviva , Prudential and many many others. In order to understand the performance we need to know exactly which particular growth fund out of the possibly hundreds available yours may be.

Also you havent told us why you believe the fund wasnt performing to your satisfaction. What are the performance figures? What were you expecting? The past 12 months have shown pretty poor returns for many investors, your fund may be performing nomally.
