Remortgage and overpayment of balance

Hi,
Currently switching from Halifax to Nationwide, but the new lender has the mortgage amount on the completion statement down as £105.9k yet the halifax balance is actually £105.2k since it’s taken so long.
What happens to the amount overpaid by nationwide to halifax, do halifax automatically pay you the difference (£700ish)?
Not been able to find this answer anywhere and the banks are being hardwork.
Thanks!

Your appointed solicitor for the remortgage will handle the monetary aspects. Any remaining monies after the settlement of the old mortgage and related costs of the transaction will be refunded to you. Might be a few days after completion of the mortgage takes place.0
