Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Just a warning 4 girls in south wales were badly burnt in 1 of their bedroms and it is being linked with hair straighteners/curling tongs .Don't know what the full story is but they are all 14. Poor kids are in a bad way too.

I want to get my dd some new straighteners, she wants GHD'S but I can't afford them plus she's only 12!! Can anyone tell me a decent set of straighteners for £40 or less that I can buy at Boots with points please?

    I have these

Sorry about the link, I don't really know how to do them, I hope it works. I have thick wavy hair and they are good, both my dd'd use them too to straighten and curl.

Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

Thanks Harriet, these were the ones I'd looked at already. I also thought about the cordless ones with gas canisters so thanks ladies for the warnings about them. They are deffo off my list of potential purchases, although it is normally me who straightens her hair anyway, but better safe than sorry.

    Hi,

I looked at getting GHD straightners but missed all the good deals on them so looked at some others..

I have just bought the babyliss pro bronze straighteners, they were £50 at boots until recently but noticed theyve gone up!!

I bought mine at amazon for £36, they also have the ones harriet mentioned above for £30. The reviews on both straighteners (on amazon product page) are great reading too as lots of people compare them to GHD's having had them before and some say they are better as dont fry the ends of your hair.. the babyliss ones come with a 5 year manufacturers guarantee.

I bought my wife a perfume gift set from Boots pre-Christmas last year.

When they re-opened after Christmas, the gift set was discounted to 50% off!

She took the unopened set back to Boots with the receipt and was given a full refund. I kept the points. Ten minutes later I went in and bought the same brand gift set for half price and more points!
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.
