I got some Olay face masks from the clearance section of a smaller boots. Clearance price was £8.48, but till automatically took off the £5.50 discount on full priced ones leaving 2.98 to pay. I also managed to use the parenting 500 points (thanks Lilaclily) and 300 points H&B mag voucher. Altogether I got 820 points for a £7.98 spend! Might be worth looking in other stores clearance sections for similarly reduced products, to see if it works elsewhere. Hope this makes sense.

Happy birthday Crazyposhgal! Just thinking about when I was 26 makes me feel really old though...

I have a moral dilemma. Advice needed
I went to boots this morning armed with PC vouchers and loaded up on vouchers from the AC machine.:j
I bought lots of items to use the vouchers and others that were bogof or 342. I also bought P&P at half price. I put 2 No7 GWP in basket & went to the till. It was really busy & my fave SA wasn’t there but lo & behold as I got to the counter she got back from her break & served me. Knowing she will try to scan anything I dashed back & picked up another 2 GWP to try to scan & dumped them on the basket. She was busy chatting away with me when I heard the dreaded till beep; she didn’t react. I thought she was being discreet and would remove the extra GWP at the end but she didn’t, she must have been so busy in conversation she didn’t hear it? Anyway by then there are lots of SAs & a supervisor by the till and I didn’t want to get her into trouble so I said nothing, paid and walked out.
Of course the GWP are not on my receipt and I have effectively stolen them. I am so worried. I don’t know what to do. If I go back and explain my fave SA will be in deep trouble, if I don’t I risk being caught for theft. I am a foster carer. I could lose ‘my’ children if I was arrested for stealing.:eek: How I wish I hadn’t been so greedy….. what do you guys think I should do?:think:

Oh & so all you lovely bootsers know 2 GWP do scan with half price P&P additional ones definately don't.

Awwww hun you are worrying over nothing. She won't get in trouble as they wont know that it should have gone through her till. You put the items on the counter and how were you to know they wouldnt be scanned, nothing at all will come of it

Firstly Happy Birthday Crazyposhgal - hope it's a good un!




Now back to Boots, I ordered a bike for my sons Christmas and it was due for delivery 17th and it's still not turned up although it's showing up as dispatched. Phoned Boots who have confirmed it was dispatched but has gone missing with the carriers and have kindly ordered a replacement for me. (Brett and Terry from customer service were great - so if you ever read this Thank you for all your help).

The question, my bike was ordered with the free punch bag (that's been delivered) and 1000 extra points with a promotion that is on. The new one has no punch bag (as I've already got that I'm not worried), but the offer still has 1000 points with the bike. Will I get two lots of 1000 points as these are showing on my replacement order as offer points like the first or will one set be deducted for the missing bike?

Also another quick question, if the missing bike turns up who do I contact about a return for it?

I wouldn't worry about it.If you were going to be "caught" you would have done by now.YOU didn't steal them anyway, the SA put them in the bag.

i wouldnt worry either something similar happened to me,
i was buying a few mens things (ties &shirts) in the next sale and there were two very unhelpful sales assistants on the till and they thought they would chat becuase it was "quieter" this was they only till they had in the shop so i couldnt go anywere else i saw her taking the security tag off the tie and setting it down but then the other sa assumed it was through the till and put it in the bag. Whilst they were taking the security tags off they were still having there merry little chat so they missed a couple of ties. I knew they had done this at the till but i felt i was being treated quite rudely so i didnt say anything.

ive been back to the shop loads of times and nothing was said but if they checked the tapes back they would see i put everything on the counter.

What do these abbreviations mean im just getting into this site but the abbreviations are slowing me right down.
