I went to a Chistmas night this afternoon, with great results
Had to scrap Plan A as Dreamlands were out of stock, and the Annabel Karmel stuff that I wanted...
Anyway, spent £44 in "real money" (paid with a few MOCs for Pampers, Huggies, John Frieda etc, that's how the total was so low) and received £41 in points :T :j (including double points, 2x total spend - ACM and mailing, 2x total spend on baby, Olay & Pantene extra points from mailings, cold remedy points, extra points for buying Pampers, phew that's it I think!)
Am very pleased as was feeling a bit nervous for handing over about a dozen vouchers but the young girl SA was lovely and just scanned away.:T :A
All the stuff I got was useful: baby stuff, mobile top up, a few Christmas bits.
Thanks to OP for the tip about Olbas tissues - they're great. :T
Am exhausted now though and my brain hurts. :rotfl:0 -
Oh, noticed a John Frieda handbag-size serum for £1.99. Anyone tried the haircare voucher with this (I know it doesn't work on sachets)?0

Hi nic what did you buy dreamland for 39.99. I looked on boots.com before I went and it said matress cover double 39.99, double electric blanket 49.99. So I purposely picked the matress cover but they insisted that it was 49.99. Would like to know what you got for 39.99 as 10 quid is a lot of money.
I am so exhausted but thank you thank thank you all of you wonderful gals on here especially sandra for the coupons for the blankie. It worked it worked took 3 x 1000 points off. OMG I can't believe it.
Bought 120 cod liver oil capsules reduced to 1.50 bought 9 of them for hubby as he has parkinsons and I am hoping they will lubricate his poor aching joints. Anyway they were on 3 for 2 yay.
Bought cough medicine buy one get one free so got 2 tubes of vitamin c with that. Used 150 point coupon for healthy things. Used 4 x£1 health vouchers.
Bought boots cream for my neighbour cost 16.75 then noticed a SEL tag for 3 for 2. Sales assistant took it off and said it was over and cos of you guys I said well it was there 5 minutes ago so I should be able to get it. So I bought 2 no 7 masks that are about 17.50 each. Got my free no 7 bag. Also used 5.00 voucher came in the post and 375 in points. bought 3 freida hair things 2 x 2.50 and 1 at 3.50 rip off only took one £2.00 coupon off so I took 2 back.
got 2 oil of olay masks used 2 x 500 points and 2 x 375 from magazines.
bought braun 8500 professional electric toothbrush used 2000 points.
Got £120 in points can you believe it? taffyscot

spacebabe103 wrote: »Hi, sorry if this has already been posted but there is a current offer in Boots where if you buy any Scholl Party Feet product (around £4.50ish) you get a free 17 nail varnish (rrp £2.99). I also had a voucher from the Kiosk for an extra 50 points when buying any Scholl Party Feet product. Good deal I thought, what with all the xmas parties coming up!
I got this too. Find the one with 2 packs wrapped together, I paid £4.48 (or something) for Limited Edition Twin Pack Exclusively at Boots, Buy Party Feet Starlight Get Party Feet Gel Sore Spots Free. Barcode: 5038483446812. And don't forget the free 17 nail vanish.
I can't find any free 17 GWP in 3 stores today. Really love it. So poor me now.0 -
I went for Xmas shopping last night. Didn't do well this time. Though I wrote the items that I would like to buy, add the vouchers that I would use for that transaction in each separate envelopes. Calculated the points I might potentially get for my £150 spending (would be £127 back in points).
However the actual situation went all wrong. Can't follow any of my listing. Ran along the store to make £50 per transaction. Then, came back home with only £80 in points for £160 spending (mind you that I have 3 x £5 points extra vouchers from the first Xmas night -- so I managed to get around 1000 points extra from using coupons/vouchers (after total spend and double points).
The thing started went wrong from my plan when I can't find any Dreamland in my store. They were gone!! So my plan was destroyed for the 1st transction. Then, I thought:
Should I spend money to get the things I might not want/use at all for points?
or
Should I spend money to get the things I want (though no extra point)?
or
Should I spend my points instead of real money (got more than £200 in points from .com order and last 2 Xmas nights)?
Finally, I can't resist to accumulate Boots points. So went for spending on the things I want with money (some with extra points, some didn't) and get extra 1,850 points (1,000 - Xmas, 500 - 1st night voucher, 350 - total spend) back at least for each transaction. Sounds like the moderate way? But not so happy, as I went back with lots of items (Things I normal buy are not the expensive ones). Had to go back to my office and put the big shopping bag there (hid them from OH).
However, I still got 2 sets of Clarins samples products from 2 goodies bags, a big bright yellow Clarins canvas bag, and a Joop long-sleeved T-shirt. Not too bad though.
Sorry for long post. Just want to share my experience. Can't mention anything about Boots with my OH now. He told me that he got sick of hearing my bargains and told me to spend my time for more productive works - not boosting and ebaying. Glad that I have my own pocket to spend.0 -

:hello: Im here. Have been reading the thread but not really posting. Doing a bit extra hours at work over weekends too so not about much on sat/sun."I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroepinkladymel wrote: »she hasn't lost the ol' Bootsing magic:D
