Morning
PLease could I just check 2 things
Current situation is I live in my boyfriends owned/mortgaged house, we will need to move elsewhere next year due to my job relocation
If we were to married before we bought a house together (ie we rent for a few years until I have a permenant job location), would that mean that we then couldn't access my LISA funds as although I don't own a house I'd have a vested interest in a house through marriage? (I've done extensive googling on this and have only seen 1x article in the mirror online stating that LISA could still be used, but that's hardly a reliable source
Or would I be better off re-mortgaging the current house in both names and accessing the LISA this way before we bought elsewhere/married?
Thanks!

If you remortgage that house your won't get the 25% bonus if you are moving house and you will be named and you are a first time buyer then you will be able to get the bonus even though your partner is not a first time buyer so aslong as you have never been named on the mortgage or owned a property you will get the bonus0

Forgot to mention getting married won't affect you getting the bonus either because you are still a FTB your not named on the mortgage or land registry0

sorry didn't mean re-mortgage literally, more buying into the existing property, kind of like this: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/ask-a-money-expert/london-property-brother-can-partner-use-lifetime-isa-buy/
thanks!0 -
Hi apologies I have just spoken to my Lisa provider and they confirmed even though you are just getting added to an existing mortgage you will indeed receive the bonus happy news 0

Hi,
Which LISA provider confirmed that you’ll receive the bonus as I’m looking to do something similar but my current LISA provider have said that it isn’t possible?0
