Mortgage Broker Fee

Already been said in this thread, but can range from 3-500 depending on their own fees. It doesn't matter what they get for the referral fee, that's between the lender and the broker!

I remortgaged and my broker fee was £500 - was definitely worth it as they went with a specialist lender and got it over the line for me.

I had a case approved by the lender today where the client had taken my advice, gone direct to the lender to cut me out, got declined after two months of fannying about and then come back asking for help. As it was the only lender who could do it (1 yr self employed and shared ownership) I submitted back to the same lender on wed and mortgage approval received today. Sometimes a broker can make all the difference - same information, 2 different outcomes

We must have got lucky - We just used a broker, recommended by a friend.
The paperwork shows that they will get £600ish from the lender. They did not charge us anything, and did a great job - To the point where I would have been prepared to pay for their work.

No surprise that they have had built a 'chain' of 5 referrals through the on person they did the original mortgage for.
