FTB affordability question

Hi, quick question about my mortgage application. Really straightforward - would it be beneficial to pay for everything in cash leading up to my application , so the bank can't make assumptions on my lifestyle and use that against me etc. Thanks

I don't think they examine your outgoings in that level of detail and frequent cash withdrawals may be as much of a red flag as anything else. Gambling transactions or payday loan entries will lead to problems but if you are not in heavy debt and your affordability is ok there is no reason to suppose you will have a problem.
