Outright Homeowner with growing debts

I own my home outright but am currently getting further into debt with loans and credit cards. A recent job change has meant a drop in salary as well which means my problems are going to escalate further unless I find a way of reducing my monthly payments. My home needs some non-urgent work doing to it too. So I would like to re-mortgage to consolidate the debt and get the work completed. Who are the best banks to contact for this kind of arrangement?

Your own bank would be a start, maybe a broker too.
Why not reduce your outgoings and reduce your debts ?
When you had the job change did you adjust your outgoings to reflect the drop in income ?0
