Hi
Does anyone have any experience with very.co.uk? Would a payment that was late by 3 days result in a late payment marker. I know that £12 fee will be added. I am only worried about the late payment marker being added. would it need to be later than just a few days for this to happen

It's down to the creditor - they have the option to mark credit files as late payment but don't always do this if it's a one off occasion.
Have you tried phoning and requesting the late fee is waived. Think of a good excuse why the payment was late and they sometimes waive the late fee and ignore putting a late payment marker on the credit files, e.g. if someone in the family was taken into hospital unexpectedly - things like that put silly things like making payments to Very out of your mind. This is just an example - but Very did waive a late payment fee for me way back in the day when this actually happened to me with my Dad who was taken suddenly ill and passed away. I was over 2 weeks late paying and just forgot all about it. They were really supportive when I phoned and explained why.DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
their t&c state they MAY report this and MAY have impact on your credit file
if this is a one off by a few days, then shouldnt be any need to worry - but give them a ring and double check. If there is no valid reason for the late payment, then pay the late fee, learn from your mistake and move on0 -
I don't want to worry you but I had an account with them many years ago and they did mark any late payments basically after 1 day already in my credit file. I should hope that in the meantime, people have complained about this practice and they are not as strict anymore. I basically don't think it's a very good company to deal with at all.0
