NHS Pension calculation

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone knew for certain what inflation measure is used for the 1995 scheme.


I was under t he impression it was RPI till April 2011, then CPI thereafter?

    Currently based on the September CPI %

    Good point, Bob. Maybe we should have a new custom of burning George Osborne in effigy every April 6th. Add Gordon Brown if you like; he introduced the CPI for just that sort of reason.

    April 2011, as you said in your original post. The same measure is used for all public sector pensions in payment, all public sector pensions in deferrment, SERPs/S2P/nSP protected amounts, and a capped version for post-88 GMP increases due by all formally COSR schemes, so not specific to the NHS scheme, let alone one specific section of it.
