‘Warrant of control’ enforcement

Hi, longtime listener, first time caller here...
I need a bit of help because I’m confused, I’ll try my best to explain the situation and please feel free to query anything
We took a ‘builder’ to small claims court (money claims online) and won (he didn’t put up any defence), the judgement for claimant letter arrived 18.6.18.
We applied for a warrant of control and received a ‘Notice of issue of a warrant’ from the county court at Milton Keynes on 27.09.18. I presumed this meant it would then be enforced by the county court bailiffs, but I have heard nothing since... I’ve tried emailing twice and heard nothing.
My question is this kind people: have I misunderstood and do I now need to request the county court bailiffs take action? Or should this be in motion with them already and I just need to call them to check in?
Many thanks in advance, sorry if these are stupid questions!

No it's not a stupid question.
That is really poor that you have heard nothing in 5 weeks and had 2 emails unanswered. Unfortunately some courts have customer service that is that bad.
You will need to phone (or if that fails turn up in person) to fiind out what is happening.
This is the sort of thing that HCEOs thrive on for their business. And that is an option for you if the debt is >£600 but will cost a further £66

Thank you so much for the reply!
I initially figured they were probably just busy, but but 5 weeks does feel like a rather long time considering most websites suggest 3-4 weeks from instruction to completion!
Will give them a call on Monday, I worried last night that I had to do something extra but a bit less worried now thank you!
As for HCEO’s, hell we’ve paid the county court fees - what’s another £60!0 -
Let us know how you get on.0

So two days of leaving messages on their answering machine and then eventually got through to another dept who gave me a different email address (bailiffs.miltonkeynes.countycourt@justice.gov.uk) and hey presto! A reply!
Seems they have got our warrant but it’s sat in a ‘very long queue’ and they can’t give me a time for when it’ll be worked other than ‘as soon as possible’.
Seems fair enough that they have a lot of work to do and more than likely not enough people to do it, but you’d think they’d set up some form of automated letter to acknowledge. Would save them a hell of a lot of emails and voicemails being left!0
