I closed my Help to Buy ISA on the day of completion. Can I still get my bonus?

There was a breakdown in communication and my solicitor did not realise I had a help to buy ISA until the day before completion. The earliest I could close it was the day of completion (yestedrday) and now my solicitor is saying there is nothing I can do to claim my bonus.
Is there anything I can do?
Thanks!

Why did you not close it down earlier? I would have closed it down when the offer was accepted.
Sounds like you didn't use any of these funds as part of your exchange/completion because if you did, then your bonus would be £0 (as you would have withdrawn the funds, leaving £0 on closing giving a £0 bonus).0
