Bristow & Sutor - Council Tax Enforcement Fee Refund

I been behind with my council tax a couple of times now, due to bad money management on my part. Each time Bristow & Sutor have been round to enforce the debt. This time they have charged me £235 enforcement stage fee which seems high and I've read somewhere they are only allowed to charge a maximum fee.

Is this correct? Does anyone have any experience in getting a refund of these fees?

I've cleared the debt now but it's obviously cost me a lot more, which I know is my fault.

Any advice, letter templates would be greatly received.

£235 is a fee set in legislation. This fee would be added when the enforcement agent attended the property.
