You'd also be given priority simply because you're sitting in a removal van, as opposed to waiting for something as administratively dull as a remortgage to complete.

Solicitors would want their money too.

Very true comments about moving house.
Just frustrating a simple remortgage can be delayed!
Now they have the redemption statement I hope it will go through on Monday.

    Yes it is.
No update from them but called Leeds BS again to see if they'd asked for redemption statement again as I asked. Shocked to be told they had and Leeds BS say redemption statement has been sent to them (only just before 3 so too late to complete today).
My broker says she's trying to speak to a manager at LMS to make sure this is dealt with & completion done on Monday.
    Fingers crossed!
Whatever happens I'll be writing a complaint to LMS once this is over. What on earth would have happened if I was moving house!

I hate these guys, we are using them now, they really don't answer the phone or communicate with you at all... We're waiting till the 12th to get our statement figures completely.. as I jumped the gun a bit with the remortgage..

Unfortunately we're stuck with them with the free legal most banks include with a remortgage.
As expected my broker was also unable to get through to them to check this will be done on Monday & so she has to try to get through again then.
I emailed them last night using email address on their main website rather than the one on track my case in the hope someone will do something.
Good luck with your remortgage! I also did it early (according to broker) in hope they'd have everything in place to complete as soon as my current lender deal ended.

    Just to update ..
I've just had an email from LMS apologising for the delay.
Seems there are wider problems at Involegal as they advise they could not get through to them either on Friday. They advise it has been escalated by the Partners at LMS to the Partners at Involegal to make sure all customers that have been affected have their completion dealt with as a matter of urgency.
Not sure whether to be relieved not just me or concerned that not even LMS legal can speak to anyone at Involegal.
I'll update on Monday when hopefully things will move forward.

    Did you manage to complete?

I started my very simple re-mortgage two weeks ago and received my first correspondence from Involegal yesterday asking me to return my questionnaire as it's been too long. I had not received the original!
I called them yesterday at 17:50 and was on hold, I had no idea about the opening hours so searched for them at the same time. No results showing for their opening hours, but a few links down was trustpilot reviews. 1 out of 5! Seems like this is a regular occurrence with them.
I did manage to get through to a kind lady who said she could email me the documents, I asked her to verify my email address, they had it wrong (could be my brokers fault but doubtful), she said she had updated it and re-sent. I only received this email today...
I have since called back today to gain access to the online portal, again this email has been allegedly sent but not received yet...
I get the feeling this could be a bumpy ride!
