Pensions for Employees With Fixed Term Contracts?

Am I correct in saying that employees must offer the same pension contributions to employees on fixed term contracts (15 months) as they offer to permanent employees?

"Employers must not treat workers on fixed-term contracts less favourably than permanent employees doing the same or largely the same job."

So there is some wiggle room eg if they are a "worker" rather than an "employee" or if the FTCer is not doing the same job or they get more salary then perm staff

ETA: also if all perm staff have been there for years and are on a legacy DB pension scheme but all new starters get an inferior DC scheme that would be allowed as long as both perm & FTC newbies get the same even if all new staff are automatically FTCs
