First time buyer for my partner but not for me?

Hi,
Myself and my partner currently live together in a house that I own, however he has never owned a property and would therefore in the future be a first time buyer.
How does this work if we wanted to buy a property together in the future? We would obviously want to make the most of his first time buyer status (No stamp duty, and using the Newcastle Building Society LISA)
Does anyone know how this would be possible to buy a property together but use his first time buyer status?!
Maybe not in the right thread but hopefully someone can help
Thanks so much!

he would be able to use his LISA to claim the bonus regardless of if you bought together or him on his own but you would not be able to use the first time buyer stamp duty reduction if you were buying together.0

You can potentially get away with you both being on the mortgage but just him being the property owner.0

The only way around this is if you were to buy the property alone in your own name. You are a first-time buyer if purchasing by yourself, and would have access to a lower deposit threshold and even Help to Buy.0
