Switching mortgage - Nationwide

Hi all,
I’m currently on a 2-year tracker mortgage with Nationwide which is due to run out at the end of this month. Not really wanting to switch to SVR when it expires, but I’ll be putting the property up for sale in the new year. I’ve been a customer of Nationwide for the last 8 years. Is it commonplace for Nationwide to re-credit check for a product switch? I imagine I’ll move over to a new tracker mortgage (without any exit fees) to avoid the SVR, but wasn’t sure whether multiple credit checks might negatively affect my new mortgage application which I’ll kick start in the next few weeks. Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks.
