IKEA bedroom furniture?

Options
Looking for the most suitable spot on the board for this question. Right place?

Anyway we're in need of some furniture for the back bedroom and i was wondering about Ikea stuff - what's the quality like, what's the drawer depth like, how well (or not) does it hold up after a few years of use (wont be constant use but still)?

We're really looking at wardrobes and chest of drawers tbh. What i don't want is a drawer with a depth that will be filled by 1 T-shirt.

We have an IKEA bed > 20 years old, still good and all original (includying the slats). I don't think you will find better (or even similar) quality anywhere else for the price you pay in IKEA.
  • Just put the order together. Cost just shy of £400 in total. Little disappointing that you have to pay delivery on top. Not enough to go all guns blazing kind of thing but i was hoping that for spending a decent amount (my opinion) you'd get delivery for free but hey ho.

Also disappointing i don't seem to be able to select a date. The nearest date is some time next week. Well i'm back at work then so i'll need to order it in time for my next week off work.

Not looking forward to unpacking it all. 1 wardrobe & 2 chest of drawers. lol.

For that cost - and the amount of work involved - I'd be inclined to pay a little more for something ready built and better quality.

For that cost you won't find anything built and better (or same) quality.
  • For that cost we got about 1 chest of drawers, ready built & better quality.
