Wow you are very fortunate to run a car 174,000miles

    No he isn't.
She has saved and has worked hard since Uni
No she hasn't. She wants to have negative net assets of several thousand pounds (and getting worse each day the car depreciates). It's a free country but that's not "saving hard". Saving a few quid here and there and then going several thousand pounds into negative net assets to buy a car isn't saving hard, any more than having a couple of alcohol-free days and going on a massive bender over the weekend is healthy drinking.

Getting yourself into debt to buy a car you can't afford isn't "climbing the ladder", it's tying a rope around your neck and attaching it to a millstone.

I liked the bit when the OP compared being asked to pay the commercial rate for a loan as equivalent to abusing mentally disabled people. That was fun.
  • I agree! These advertisements are total scams!

Like when a shop sells something "From £99 but some stuff costs more!" IT'S DISGUSTING!!!!!

Sometimes i go to the poundshop and find an item that cost more than a pound! DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!

When DFS says Sale now on and sofa's are available from £333 but I find one that's £444!!!! ITS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!

When mobile phone offers are from £45 per month BUT IF I WANT MORE IT COSTS MORE !!!! ITS DISGUSTING!!!!

Like when loans say that the lowest APR is 3.9% BUT IM NOT ELIGIBLE BUT THEY STILL GIVE ME WHAT I WANT JUST NOT AS CHEAP AS I WANT ITS DISGUSTING!!!!!

Get over yourself. The financial services are not SERVICES they are commercial entities.... When will people realise that Banks, Lenders, Insurance companies etc are no different to Coca Cola or McDonalds or M&S. They are all commercial companies trying to make a profit and are not government or public services to make your life easier.

Totally agree...even McDonald's charges different amounts for the same food, just depends on the store.

I think the OP should become a MP and then as a VIP see the PM about the APR of % loans.

but its her aspiration, her decision, her money.
