tax arrears

hello everyone,
after some advice, made myself bankrupt 6th january this year.
today i got a letter from hmrc stating i am in arrears from the
tax year 6th april 2017 to 5th april 2018.
on the statement they are calculating taxable pay from last year when i went from self employed to employed and some tax was not payed, i thought once bankrupt it wiped the slate clean?

Hi,

Any tax owed for this period is covered by your bankruptcy (at least up to January this year), you need to inform the OR of this debt.
You will need to clarify with the tax office to make sure that the self employed / employed status they hold for you is correct.
