hey folks,
Looking to find info on what steps should be undertaken when a mortgage has been cleared. My bank has given me a closing statement showing the balance as zero but they don't send out an info pack on whats next. I got a couple of different answers from staff when i went into the branch.
The bank have said their head office holds the deeds for free as long as they are marked against them. Do I need to update anything with the LPS (land and property service in Northern Ireland) to show that I'm now the sole owner and remove any ties to the bank?
