Cancelling marriage tax allowance

Why is it a bummer?
If you are earning enough to pay tax (after taking into account Marriage Allowance) then it will save you £250 in the current tax year.
And your wife will have to pay £250 more.
No worse off overall than if you changed things back to normal.0 -
Hi wondering I have just cancelled my marriage allowance but I have been told that I have to pay back 2015/2016 taxes.

If you've signed a deed of assignment then the only way to have it cancelled is if the company agrees to it. The good news however is that you can only assign what you yourself have - so can only assign previous years and not the current or future years. You keep using that word.
