in Cutting tax
I am employed full time but also sell handmade goods at local craft fairs.
for the past couple of years i have filed a self assessment tax return with no problems until this year.
Has the form changed? On page1 of 'Tailor your return' it does not give the option of stating self employment only 'Were you an employee or angency worker?'.
I have filled the forms through to the end multiple times stating both yes and no to the above question and each time at the end check list it states i am not self employed.
Also it already has the details from my full time job. Do I need to insert these details again?
The last time i filed a return i used cash basis, simply stating expences and profit. Has this option gone now?
Is there a different form somewhere i should be filling in? This self assessment form was the only one offered in my account.
Please help! I am going crazy trying to understand this.
Thank you in advance.

It’s the second question under “tailor your return” - it reads “was your turnover £1,000 or more from all self employments?”
Presumably if you answer no, you don’t have to complete the self employment pages.
Aren’t you seeing that question?
