Was fully intending to go for a run this morning but swiftly changed my mind when I was woken up by a roaring wind, eugh, no thanks! This mean I will not be hitting my running target for the week, which is a bit rubbish. But I will just have to try harder next week! On the plus side, I've plucked up the courage to start pestering people for donations and am doing quite well there - let's hope my reluctance to run in slightly less pleasant weather doesn't lead to me disappointing them!
I thought I was being smugly MSE when I decided to use up some rather frighteningly browning bananas to make some muffins rather than throwing them away. I was merrily whisking away when I realised we were out of eggs! Apparently OH had decided to have a secret midnight omelette as I cluelessly snored away :rotfl: and so I had to nip to the shops, sabotaging my otherwise extremely healthy NSD streak this week! The muffins were extremely delicious so well worth the £1.60 splurge. I have the end of some curd to use up too so thinking of doing some more baking later today!
The downside to this NSD malarky is that my Shoppix rewards are now plodding along at an extremely disappointing pace so it will be aaaages before I can cash out there
My waffling about muffins aside, there isn't a huge amount to report really. I got an unexpectedly swift response from one of my job applications and have an interview for next month so that's a positive! Haven't heard back from the other yet. I'm reasonably happy with new savings/debt-busting goals. The revised DFD, with huge thanks to to my financial changes and tax rebates, is now August (including the extra from my clothes shop this month!)£1860 /£2500 CC

Another mixed week, but again I think more pluses than minuses. Didn't quite manage all of my goals but I'm sure I'll get there! Not an NSD yesterday because we paid for some more holiday bits, but hoping for one today. Very pleased that I managed to get the week's groceries to just £27 for the two of us, which massively compensates for last week's insane overspend (probably because we have leftovers, d'oh). Will wait and see if we end up needing a top up shop before I start properly singing my own praises :rotfl:
Round up for last week (21-27)
Run 4 days - Quite right about being overly ambitious, only achieved 2! Better shape up as the run is in a few weeks and I'm not where I need to be yet
NSD 5 days - Damn so close - I managed 4. Sabotaged by secret midnight omelettes, boo!
Holiday planning - Trips are booked, Euros are ordered, and we've discovered some potential lovely hiking spots. My bank balance is seriously unimpressed but I had saved for this, and I cannot WAIT!
Healthy Eating - much better this week; stuck to the meal plan and didn't eat out. I had one evening where I just absolutely needed some chocolate, but that's okay! The banana muffins I baked had 1tbsp butter and a really tiny amount of sugar in, so I'm calling them healthy and not counting them
Additional income - contracted for the uni temp work and raring to go! Also have an interview for a PT job in a few weeks. So whilst I haven't actually earned anything yet, steps are being taken!
Goals for this week (28/04-04/05)
Run 4 days - I am determined to smash this, and get past the 8k mark. I did 7.5 yesterday so I'm confident I can do this!
NSD 5 days - will need to remember to take lunch to the office but this is a fairly low risk week as OH and I are being boring but good while we wait for our holiday
Healthy Eating - seriously need to reign this in for this week as I fully intend on pigging out on holiday - it would be rude not to!
Additional income - well mostly I'll just be sitting tight and waiting to hear back about a potential interview for the other PT job application but I suppose I could dig around for a couple of bits to sell? I sold a few bits a few months ago so I don't think there's much of value left but there's no harm in having a nosey!
I am getting my hair done this week because I am a girl and I am going on holiday and this is what we do. It's not cheap, but I think I've discussed this in an earlier post, and I have budgeted for it so I should be fine. Next week will be technically very cheap because we'll be on holiday and everything is already paid for, so all will be well, hopefully!
'Payday' is tomorrow so will soon be doing some number crunching! In the mean time, back to work£1860 /£2500 CC
