OK - this is an EXTRA £1 BONUS per £20 "saved" (added) to their store card.

Normally for every £20 you add to their card, you get a £1 bonus added to it within 48 hours. Effectively a 5% saving/discount

Starting today - 29th October - and up to 18th November, they will add £2 for EVERY £20 put on the card (up to £1000) - So a 10% saving/discount

The "standard" bonus will appear within the normal time frame, the EXTRA £1(s) will be added on 22nd November.

The only thing to be aware of is that, IF you haven't spent the "Extra £1 Bonus" amounts earned by 29th January 2019, they will expire and be removed.

I thought the T&Cs were a bit vague about how this worked so phoned them for clarification.

The "Extra £1 Xmas Bonus" amounts will be the FIRST to be used when you SPEND money from the card

SO, IF you add £100 - within 48 hours it should be £105 - after 22nd Nov it should be £110.

Buy what you need eg, loaf of bread, 4 pints of milk, bag of frozen peas and some cod fillets, which should be about £5
Pay with the card and the £5 that comes off WILL BE those bonuses that would expire on 31st Jan 2019.

The remaining £105 (your £100 plus the "standard" £5 bonus) will still be there after this date if you haven't redeemed it beforehand.

Note: Your Bonus Card will automatically expire 24 months after the last time you use it and any remaining balance will expire and will not be retrievable.

Apparently MSE "recommend" this - and that apprears to be the "standard" rate deal

I did it in June/July - to the tune of £900, and received my free £90, £45 instantly when I topped up, and a further £45 a few weeks later. You had a month or so to spend the free bonus IIRC, but as with this new promotion, as explained by quioa, the free credit comes of the card first so you may only need to shop once or twice to spend it.

I did £900 as I think the maximum card balance can be £1000 - so I didn't want the free credit to push past the max.

I've still got some of that credit left, but will probably top my card up back close to £1000 again with this deal. It means 10% "free shopping" which is actually a 9.1% discount if we're being picky (£110 shopping costs £100) but for regular iceland shoppers is it a no brainer to pay this way.

My top ups are all coming from my Sainsburys Interest Free credit card, so I'm not actually "saving" in advance either, I just make a payment to the credit card when I've done an Iceland shop.

It also works in conjunction with other offers - I've got 2 £10 discount codes that I got via email for placing a £60 online order last month, and there is also a bonus builder deal where bonus card members need to shop a certain number of times by a date in November to get a specific reward (the amounts are specific to individual card holders). I also get 1% cashback via Quidco, too. (I used to get 2% because I seemed to get cashback on Bonus Card top ups, and then again when I spend the top up, but since this year bonus card top ups are being declined for cashback - which is surely correct)

I successfully added £500 to my bonus card this afternoon and the initial £25 bonus (the regular £1 for every £20) appeared within 4 minutes, like it usually does. I will confirm back here when the other (extra bonus)£25 arrives, should be 22nd Nov.

Still a couple of hours left for anyone else wanting to do this before midnight.

I didn't quite go that far - BUT I did utilise a largish quantity of LOVE2SHOP vouchers that would have run out next March.

Turning each 20 quids worth into £22 with a vastly extended use by date is an excellent offer :j :T
