Reflex or Memory Foam

for slatted adjustable bed?
Is it worth paying the extra for memory foam? I like a fairly firm mattress and the price difference is quite substantial, so although I don't want to pay more than is necessary I'll stretch to it if the benefits outweigh the savings.
TIA

I would not call it firm, you sink into the mattress and it moulds to your body shape. This can make you feel hot as more of you is in contact with the mattress. It is also difficult to turn over as you are in a hollow.0 -

Can't stretch quite that far I'm afraid - Tempur is well out of my league. I remember years ago a friend and her husband bought a Tempur when they first appeared - they only used it for about a month as they found it much too warm. Think they ended up giving it away - I nearly died when I found out what they'd paid for it!
Do ALL memory foam mattresses get really warm? - I recently returned a memory foam pillow as I found that a problem, so maybe reflex would be the way to go.0 -
I would imagine all memory foam mattresses have to be slightly soft otherwise they could not memorise your shape.
I previously had a Dunlopillo latex foam mattress which was like a brick but still very comfortable.
I have tried to convince myself that the Tempur mattress is the best and most comfortable mattress I have ever owned, maybe as you say because of the price!!, however I still prefer the firm pocket sprung mattress in the other bedroom.0
