    Fair enough, but weren't we told that he has limited AA? (The 2% NIC probably isn't worth fussing over here.) Still, that's true of both options.

    Ah, but isn't AA treated differently for DB and DC purposes? That sounds like IFA territory to me.

    On a weekend when people are bemoaning the forthcoming inability to get RPI-linked income from ns&i I might still incline to pocket some.
