Hello
I have just moved to a property which has four water heating panels on the room. There is a switch with a 3A fuse next to the switch on the top floor and in the airing cupboard, there is a Solar immersion switch and another switch called the Roof Heater switch which has the instructions to be turned off during the summer.
The chap who owned the house passed away and it was a probate sale so I have no opportunity to find out more. I have tried googling and but I am deeply lost with this. anyone with information or tips, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.
With Solar water heating - sometimes called 'solar thermal' to prevent confusion with solar PV - water from your hot water tank is pumped to the roof panels and heated by solar effect.
Water will only be pumped when the solar heating will produce warmer water than the temperature of water in the hot water tank. If that were not the case your solar panels would become 'radiators' cooling the water in the tank.
The 'Roof heater' switch presumably will be to prevent the panels freezing in very cold weather.
I suggest you make specific queries in the Navitron forum0
