Loan account charges

Hi. We had a loan out 4 years ago which is due to be finished early next year. The account is under my husbands name and i left the repayments to him. The thing is, out of interest i picked up a statement for the loan account and to my horror found that over the past 4 years the bank has been charging £10 a month to transfer the loan money from my husbands current account to the loan account!! so basically my husband has been putting his loan money in one account and the bank has been charging for the transfer tohis loan account. When i questioned him he told me that when he had the loan the bank told him it was necessary to do this, so we have paid an unecessary £500 to the bank! Can i reclaim this? is this even right?

Thanks in advance,
Cheryl
