Remortgaged using a broker and ended up with a shortfall

Hi, I just wondered if anyone one had used a broker and ended up with a slight shortfall when remortgaging? Is this a normal practise? It was a few hundred but we were not expecting this and was never made aware this could happen. I did question the broker when applying that they were basing the loan amount on a current…

Thanks kingstreet it nice to know it can be a common occurrence. I know next time to make sure I work it all out for worse case lol. This being our first remortgage we were not aware of any of this hence a bit of a surprise
