Early discharge letter - how likely?

I got home yesterday to a letter from OR asking me to fill in a new SOA so I could be considered for an early discharge. TBH, while I know people do get these sometimes, I hadn't thought Southend did them (always v busy so assumed no time, my dad didn't get one). I filled in the form and dropped it back before I came to work (my figures leave me with 50p spare a month, didn't want to waste that on stamps!). On the letter it asked that I do not contact them regarding it as it will take several weeks. How likely is it do you think that I will get early discharge? If so, when is it likely to be and when will I find out? I was declared bankrupt at 11:22 on 29th June ( I will never forget that time or date;) ).
Thankies!

Sounds like the wheels are in motion for an ED then & the outcome is probably good you will receive ED.....although depending on how busy the OR offices are you might be looking at a fair few months or a few weeks , I had my ED papers through some time ago all filled in & sent back the same day....I got my early discharge 1/11/07 just over 8mnths brWe all die. I only found out looking on the insolvency website a few days ago, usually if you've been granted an ED it's put up there first.....sad as it sounds I used to check more or less every day!

Absolute minimum time frame is 5 weeks (plus a few days for admin) after you return the forms.
But that would only happen if your OR wrote to the creditors asking for any objections immediately upon getting the forms back from you. In practice many wait 3 weeks from the ED/IPOQ letters issue before writing to creditors even if you've returned them double quick. So 8 weeks minimum if they do that.
All that said, it took my OR 3 ½ months to get it all done and file for the ED .Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I went BR 27th March, and started the early discharge process 4 September (just over 5 months in)...2 months on still waiting for any further news, though my situation is complicated by the fact that I need to agree to my IPA before discharge. I think this is holding things up somewhat, though I could be wrong. Fingers crossed, this next time next month it'll all be over.BCSC Member 70:j
