Declined loan because of past complaints

Hi,
I recently applied for a car loan with a company, and my application was declined.
I previously had a loan with the company however I complained about the car as the radio stopped working after about 3-4 months of ownership. The finance company said they didn't think they were liable for the fault but I took the complaint to FOS, who found in my favour. FOS said that the finance company had to take back the car (which was helpful because the payments were quite high anyway). They paid back the small deposit I paid but they weren't happy about the usage charge as I'd done 2,500 miles but FOS said that they could't charge a usage charge. FOS also said that they had to remove the loan from my credit file.
I found a car that was a lot cheaper than the first one and applied for finance again, which is when I got declined. I called their number and asked to appeal, but they said that they refused to lend to me because they didn't want to "enter into a relationship" with me (or something like that).
I think this means they don't like me because of the previous complaint I made. Can they do this and do I have the right to complain? I'm annoyed because I went back to the broker I'd been to before who said they weren't able to locate any alternative lenders.
Thanks

Yes, they have every right to refuse to do business with you unless it's because of discrimination against a protected characteristic.

Them thinking you're more trouble than you're worth is a perfectly valid reason for them no longer wishing to do business with you.

Of course they can. How can they be obliged to do business with you if they dont want to ?

The FOS forced a loan company to take back a car because the radio didn't work, really?

Serious question: What would you do if your tyre had a puncture?

    a) blame the car finance company and get the FOS involved

    b) get to a tyre place and get it replaced at your own cost?

Some people just shouldn't be anywhere near cars.

No, it's "because the payments were quite high anyway" but he used the radio thing to screw them out of the business.

No, it's "because the payments were quite high anyway" but he used the radio thing to screw them out of the business after he had signed up to something he couldn't afford.
