Selling a Standard Life endowment

Hello
I'm planning to sell a Standard Life endowment assurance to pay off credit cards. I know that it's not the best thing to do as the policy has only another four years to run but I need to pay off these CC debts before I sell my house and then buy another house in joint names with my fiancee. I've been offered £16668 by Standard Life. Standard Life also advised me to contact APMM for alternative offers and so far I've been offered £17000 (firm offer) and £17166 (provisional offer) from two APMM prospective buyers. Any advice please, I haven't ever sold a policy before. Policy details are :
Start Date 1987, maturity date 2012, basic sum assured £9750. The endowment policy is not on my life, it's on the life of my ex-husband and this endowment was part of my divorce settlement - the policy was fully assigned to me, I have been paying the premiums of £40.30 per month and I have full rights to sell (apparently!). Thanks v much, Ohio
