Social media comp question

Hi all, I'm new.
I have entered a few twitter competitions and just wanted to check what people do when it says to follow and RT. It doesn't say to comment but do you anyway? Do you comment on the post or your retweet? Should I be retweeting their post and tagging them in it? I've seen people do different things so I'm not sure if I'm disqualifying myself?
Also, for the Instagram, to share do you just screenshot it and post it? Tag them too? Or is there a button I seem to be missing lol?
If its ok, can I leave my usernames here too?:
