Shared ownership mortgage advice

Options
Dear all, as a ‘second time around’ couple in our 50’s we are looking at a shared ownership property with a mortgage of 10 years. We have a decent deposit saved up of approx 20%. Suggestions on who would be the best lender to approach without it affecting our good credit scores. No ball Park figures have been given to the cost of the property as they haven’t started construction as yet, we are assuming 40% share to be about £120 going by other local builds. This is the only way we can afford a home in our area and are disheartened with renting/landlords, we just want a home for life and feel safe and secure. Thanking you in advance.

Might I suggest as this is not a simple mortgage application due to age, shared ownership and length of mortgage term that you find a local mortgage broker !
Speak to friends and family or do some research on the net to find local firms.
