Just received my remortgage offer from Halifax...ive requested additional funds over and above the amount i need and all is well as about 70k equity.
Just talking to the wife and we would quite like an additional 5k to replace conservatory....is it to late now offer has been sent to ask for the additional 5k to be added.
Obviously would call the broker but office closed until Monday.
Not a huge issue...just an over sight on my part.

An offer can be altered subject to affordability and possibly another credit check.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ahhh brilliant...like i said its not a huge issue either way,but would certainly be a help.
Affordability id say we would be ok...from memory i think we could have gone for 25k more than we requested, credit check again shouldn't be an issue as only done there one just over week ago and nothing since.
Guessing that would mean a new offer being sent out and an extra week or two added to the wait..??0 -

Not sure what that would be in % but mortgage is £103k with house value agreed at £175 and currently borrowing 123k.
Looking at adding another 5k.0 -
So, £123,000 divided by £175,000 is 70.28% and £128,000 divided by £175,000 is 73.14% so no likely LTV band change.I am a mortgage broker. So all things being fair the extra 5k shouldn't be an issue...?0 -
All I can say is it doesn't put you in a different LTV band. I can't draw any other conclusions from this.I am a mortgage broker.
